Seth memorial award

The award is given every year. It consists of a medal and a cash award of Rs. 5000/- subject to availability of funds. Any citizen of India is eligible for the award for outstanding work done in India is eligible for the tree sciences, pertaining to research/education and a management aspects, with the criterion that scientific work has its Impact for a considerable time. The award is conferred only once and no person is eligible for second time. The recipient of the award shall deliver a lecture on the subject of his work at a meeting or seminar of the ISTS. The lecture shall be published in the journal of Tree Scientists. The nominations for the award shall be invited by issuing a circular to the members of the Society. The nominations shall indicate the major scientific achievements of the candidate. The award is given by an Advisory Committee of not more than six members appointed by the executive committee of the ISTS including the President or Vice President, Secretary of the Society and one past recipient of the award with a Chairman who has a casting vote.

Nanda Memorial award for Young Scientists

The award is given every year. It consists of a medal and a cash award of Rs. 5000/- subject to availability of funds. Any citizen of India is eligible for the award for outstanding work done in India, in any branch of tree sciences as evidenced by published work provided his/her age does not exceed 35 years on the last date of applications. The awardee shall deliver a lecture on the subject of this work at a meeting or seminar of the ISTS. The award is given by a selection committee of not more than six members appointed by the executive committee of the ISTS with a Chairman, who has a casting vote.
